Bundles of fake notes with images of cartoons were recovered near railway tracks on the Bangalore to Salem railway line in Tamil Nadu's Dharmapuri district.
Bundles of fake 2000 and 500 rupees notes with images of cartoons were recovered near railway tracks in Tamil Nadu's Dharmapuri district during a maintenance check of the tracks on Wednesday. Ramkumar, a railway official, was checking the tracks for maintenance work on the railway track near Thoppur on the Bangalore to Salem railway line. He saw bundles of 2000 and 500 rupees notes scattered near the tracks.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
