
Fact Check: These photos are not from Manipur ambush that claimed lives of Col Viplav Tripathi, family

Two photos are going viral on social media with the claim that they show the recent ambush in Manipur that claimed the lives of seven, including Colonel Viplav Tripathi of the Assam Rifles.
Colonel Viplav Tripathi, the Commanding Officer of Khuga Battalion of the Assam Rifles, his wife, their 8-year-old son, and four other soldiers were killed during an ambush by militants in Manipur's Churachandpur district on November 13. According to reports, it was one of the deadliest attacks in the region in recent times.
In this context, two photos are viral on social media with the claim that they are of the recent violence.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
