Two people were arrested as a huge quantity of explosives were recovered in Dibrugarh district of Assam on Tuesday.
Security personnel recovered a huge quantity of explosives in Dibrugarh district of Assam on Tuesday. Two people were also arrested in connection with this. According to reports, based on intelligence input, troops of Assam Rifles and police had jointly launched a search operation at a house in Balimara village near Naharkatia on Tuesday and seized 1,200 gram of RDX, electrical wires and other materials from there. Police said security personnel had arrested two people -- Pranab Gogoi and Bikash Tanti.
As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
