An explosion was heard in Afghanistan's Kabul city. So far, casualties remain unknown and security forces have reached the blast site.
In Afghanistan, an explosion was reported near Wazir Muhammad Akbar Khan Grand Mosque in Kabul province. As per the interior ministry's Abdul Nafi Takoor, the blast occurred when worshippers were exiting the mosque premises after offering prayers on Friday. Shortly after the explosion was heard, Taliban-led security forces reached the site.
Casualties remain unknown so far, news agency Tolo News reported.
"The witnesses of the incident said that the ambulances have transferred the injured from the explosion in front of the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Mosque to the Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital from the hospitals near the place of the incident," Tolo News shared.
