The claims have surfaced hours after Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said the Aam Aadmi Party's old liquor sale policy will be back in force from August 1, sparking confusion among people.
Days after the Lieutenant-Governor recommended a CBI probe into the implementation of the new excise policy, the Delhi government took a U-turn and decided to go back to the old regime of retail liquor sales in the city.
However, sources said it was almost impossible to complete the administrative formalities before August 1.

They also said that it will be difficult to implement the old policy from August 1 as no cabinet decision has been taken regarding this so far.
Even at the earliest, it will take at least 48 hours to complete formalities and bring a notification, they said.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
