Exclusive: Vivo V25 India launch date revealed, V25 Pro to launch later this year

Vivo V25 will be the first smartphone in the Vivo V25 series to launch in India. Our sources claim that the Vivo V25 will launch on August 17 or August 18 in India. The launch date might change depending on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the supply chain situation.

The Vivo V25 Pro will launch a few weeks after the vanilla model makes its debut in India. Vivo also plans to launch a special edition variant of the vanilla Vivo V25 in India alongside the Vivo V25 Pro. The exact launch timeline of the Vivo V25 Pro and the Vivo V25 special edition smartphone is unknown at the moment. Our sources expect these two devices to debut in India in September but the timeline could change.

A Vivo India spokesperson declined to comment on the company’s plans.

Vivo might launch the Vivo V25e in India later this year as well. This particular smartphone will launch as an entry-level offering in the V25 series. However, no concrete information about the device’s existence is available at the moment.

It was previously reported that the Vivo V25 will feature a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate support. The phone will feature a 16MP front camera. Considering the V-series is Vivo’s selfie-centric offering aimed at offering a premium design, we highly doubt that the front camera will be a regular 16MP sensor.

On the back, the phone will feature a triple-camera setup. It will have a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP portrait camera sensor. The device will draw power from a Snapdragon 778G or a Mediatek Dimensity 1200 SoC. It will pack a 4,500mAh battery under the hood with 44W or 66W fast charging support.
