
Ex-HNLC leader death: Meghalaya Human Rights Commission head to conduct judicial probe, says CM Conrad Sangma

The chairperson of Meghalaya Human Rights Commission will head the judicial inquiry into the death of former HNLC general secretary Cheristerfield Thangkhiew, said Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.
The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Sangma, said on Wednesday that the chairperson of the Meghalaya Human Rights Commission will be heading the judicial inquiry, which was set up by the Meghalaya government, to investigate the death of former Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) general secretary Cheristerfield Thangkhiew on August 13.
