CCTV visuals of a herd of wild elephants roaming inside residential areas in Coimbatore city has created a lot of fear among the people in the region. The forest department has advised the public to be extra vigilant at night.

Seven wild elephants entered the town at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, December 22, at the IOB Colony in Vadavalli area of Coimbatore district. This was recorded on a CCTV camera in the area.
