In the video credited to China Central Television (CCTV), the Asian elephants can be seen huddled up together fast asleep in a forest. This sleeping elephant family is best thing on internet today. Via CCTV. pic.twitter.com/1WahEM7eYK Not always sleep like that. This look cute so shared. They sleep in standing position mostly. When I see they have only two jobs; sleep & eat. It doesn’t mean they do it half - half. They sleep for short time. But all remaining time they eat.Never seen an Ele not eating. They don’t have an efficient digestive system. So they need to spend all time in eating. They look heavy but they walk a lot. That is why called as long ranging animals. A herd can walk 20 km a day. Presence of kids reduces the speed though. Just loved how the elder elephants are protecting the mischievous baby elephant, by encircling the little one.Though this tiny one makes one remember Bambi The constantly moving lil one is reminding me of my lil kid that constantly wakes up in the night and keeps kicking me as babies our instincts / behaviours are so similar to that of animals .. All kids are the same.. They are never sleepy when we are.. Super cute And that kid is awake and playing on sleeping mother Isn’t this unusual?. I thought elephants in the wild slept standing up. If you observe, each one is touching the other on either side.so if any one elephant faces danger, the contact signal can cascade. Just watched this like 6 times Sharing the video, Praveen Kaswan wrote, “This sleeping elephant family is the best thing on internet today.
