Educational institutions closed on Monday in Uttarakhand due to heavy rain alert

Educational institutions across Uttarakhand will be closed on account of the heavy rain alert issued by the Met department in 13 districts of the state.

On account of heavy rain, most educational institutions across Uttarakhand will remain closed on Monday, October 18. The heavy rain alert issued by the Met department also urged the government to put a ban on trekking, mountaineering, and camping activities in the high altitude areas of the state till Tuesday as a precautionary measure.

Following a heavy rain alert issued for all the 13 districts of Uttarakhand on Monday, the district administrations have issued orders for closure of educational institutions, including schools, colleges and anganwadi centres on Sunday.
