ED summons TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, wife Rujira in coal smuggling case

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee and his wife Rujira have been summoned for questioning by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with an alleged coal smuggling case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee and his wife Rujira in connection with an alleged coal smuggling case, a top official told India Today. TMC's Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee has been summoned to join the investigation on September 6 whereas his wife Rujira has been asked by the ED to appear on September 3 by the financial probe agency.
