The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized Rs 106.93 crore lying in bank accounts and virtual accounts of non-banking financial company (NBFC) PC Financial Services Pvt Ltd under the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), officials said. The financial probe agency is investigating a number of NBFCs and fintech companies under the anti-money laundering act for providing instant micro loans through mobile apps and then extorting high rates of interest using the personal data of customers illegally. The customers are allegedly even threatened and abused through call centres.More Related News
