Green polling stations and specially themed booths promoting plastic recycling, solid waste management, and sanitation at various locations across the district have earned widespread appreciation from voters. Many voters were seen enthusiastically taking photos at the specially arranged selfie points set up at these eco-friendly polling centres.
“This eco-friendly setup definitely will have a positive impact on the young voters to protect. The greenery, cleanliness, and recycling messages created a positive atmosphere,” said a voter in Narsampet
Voters at these eco-friendly polling stations were also given pens and voter wristbands by the Collector as a gesture of appreciation and encouragement.
In Wardhannapet, a green polling station has been arranged at the Government High School in Phirangigadda, accompanied by a special polling booth dedicated to promoting plastic recycling. The centers have been decorated with greenery and eco-friendly materials, while cleanliness drives and thematic displays were organized to attract voters. Special selfie points set up at these booths drew enthusiastic participation from voters eager to capture the moment after casting their ballot.
In Narsampet, a green polling station has been established at the Government Junior College opposite the RDO office, while another recycling-themed booth has been set up at the Government School in Bondabadi. These facilities prominently displayed messages on reducing plastic waste and adopting reuse practices.
