The dedicated online platform will also provide real-time updates and facilitate digital memorials.
Founder trustee and president of Swarg Vatika Trust, Surender Pal Singh informed that the initiative is a public-private partnership with the government of Telangana giving three acres to set up the facility. Through donors, up to ₹5 crore was raised and invested.
Besides modern facilities such as air-conditioned waiting halls for manual and LPG cremations, mortuary storage, hearse vans and green landscapes, the vatika offers free cremation for unclaimed bodies and a 50% discount for Below Poverty Line families.
