Ekta Kapoor, the TV Czarina turns 47 today. But, did you know she still asks money from her mother, Shobha Kapoor, for her expenditure?

For the world, she might be the Boss Lady, who is ruling the world of television, film and web series. But, Ekta Kapoor is still a little girl who needs her mother's help to manage her finances. The TV Czarina, who turns 47 on Tuesday, June 7, once revealed that she still takes money from her mother, Shobha Kapoor, for her expenses. Now, that's interesting. Right?

Ekta Kapoor celebrated her 47th birthday with her close friends. The popular TV and film's producer appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show in December last year with her father, Jeetendra Kapoor. The father-daughter duo shared some interesting anecdotes from their personal lives on the comedy show. One such interesting fact that Ekta shared was that she still takes money from her mother Shobha Kapoor.

She said, "You need money for surprises and we still need to ask money. I need to call Mummy and say 'you birthday is coming so I need money for the gift'."

When Archana sounded surprised, she replied, "She keeps all the cheques. Then she is like 'how much do you want'." To which Ekta would ask her to give her a random amount and would tell her she would return the rest.

Archana was amazed by Ekta's revelation. "It's difficult to believe, Ekta, that for a small amount also you need to ask your mother," she added. But, Ekta said that it was not a big deal in her family. She said, "Nahi, hamare ghar mein hum sab Mummy se maangte hain (In our house everyone asks money from Mummy). It's no big deal."

She further added, "Kisi ko sambhalna aata hi nahi hai (Nobody knows how to take care of finances)," and hinted that her mother is good at it as she is a Sindhi, who are known for their sharp business acumen.

On the same show, Jeetendra talked about how Ekta Kapoor built Rs 4 crore set for the show when bungalows were given for shoots at Rs 8k and yet it turned out to be economical. He revealed that initially, TV soaps were shot in bungalows, which were rented out at around Rs 25k for film shoots and at Rs 8k for TV show shoots.
