On Friday, the government informed the Lok Sabha that the school drop-out rate is continuously decreasing in the country at all levels of education, including primary, upper primary, and secondary.
In a reply to the question asking whether there was an increase in the school drop-out rate amid Covid-19, the Union Women and Child Development Minister, Smriti Irani, replied that the school drop-out rate has been decreasing.
"As per information furnished by the Department of School Education and Literacy (Ministry of Education), the drop-out rate is continuously decreasing at all levels of education including Primary, Upper Primary and Secondary," she said, as reported by PTI.
