Pete Davidson attended the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles today. His outfit, however, reminded us of Kanye West.
The Saturday Night Live (SNL) star and comedian Pete Davidson made a surprise appearance at the Emmy Awards 2022, held in Los Angeles on September 13. He also presented the award for Best Comedy Series at the coveted event.
His outfit for the awards ceremony, however, reminded us of rapper Kanye West. Wondering why? Well, read on!
Pete kept it simple and understated in a jacket and trousers set for the Emmys 2022. He opted for the grey-hued Eisenhower jacket from the label Dickies and teamed it with matching relaxed pants. His outfit, let us tell you, took us back to Kanye West’s Met Gala 2019 look.
The rapper and entrepreneur had sported the same ensemble in black colour when he accompanied his then-wife Kim Kardashian on the Met Gala 2019 red carpet. He deliberately sported an understated look to ensure all attention towards Kim, who was clad in the iconic wet-looking dress by Thierry Mugler.
For the uninitiated, Kanye West was at loggerheads with Pete Davidson when the comedian started dating his ex-wife Kim. Pete and Kim were in a relationship for 9 months. They started dating in October 2021, a few months after Kim filed for divorce from Kanye, and parted ways in August 2022.
Kanye even went on a social media rampage against Pete in February. It was reported in August that Pete had to seek trauma therapy due to the rapper’s social media attacks.
