Saudi Commerce Minister Majid Al-Qasabi on Sunday said that mutations of novel coronavirus and uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 vaccines had led to the delay in announcing the details of Haj 2021. Majid Al-Qasabi said the ministers of health and Haj would soon divulge more details about this year’s pilgrimage. Speaking at a press conference, Al-Qasabi said the Covid-19 vaccine was not mandatory in Saudi Arabia. He also said 40 per cent of the Kingdom's population had been vaccinated so far. “If we want to coexist, go to markets and return to schools and work, we should take the vaccine,” said Al-Qasabi.
