The harrowing ropeway incident in Jharkhand's Deoghar came to an end on Tuesday after over 40 people were pulled to safety while three people died in the tragedy.
Amidst all the noise, a man identified as Panna Lal is being hailed as a hero for rescuing the passengers who were stuck in the cable cars at the lower altitude. According to Panna Lal, who works as a fitter in Damodar ropeway, the incident occurred around 4.30 pm on Sunday and no one from the administration was present on the spot.
The incident occurred after a break down of a shaft. The trolley cabin suffered a massive jerk, after which the trolley came to a screeching halt. It was in that moment that he decided to rescue the passengers who were stuck in cable cars at low altitude.

Meanwhile, Panna Lal's family is on cloud nine after they came to know about his good samaritan act. He is being hailed as a hero and compliments have started to pour in from all corners.
The incident occurred at Jharkhand’s highest ropeway in Trikut, Deoghar on Sunday after two cable cars collided, resulting in a complete halt in operations. As many as 70 people were stuck in the cable car cabins.
Three people died, including a man who fell to his death while being rescued as he tried to climb inside a helicopter.
