Delimitation Commission in Srinagar, high-level security meet in Delhi

The Delimitation Commission is in Srinagar holding meetings with the J&K security officials. CRPF DG Kuldiep Singh and Intelligence Bureau director Arvinda Kumar will be attending a high-level security review meeting in New Delhi today.

The Delimitation Commission is in Srinagar holding meetings with the security officials as the three-member panel began gathering “first-hand information” on the ongoing process of delineating the boundaries of electoral constituencies. The Union home ministry, meanwhile, began a meeting chaired by Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla on Jammu and Kashmir. The Delimitation Commission members are also holding a meeting with political leaders in Jammu and Kashmir this evening. All political parties except former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said they would attend the meeting.
