Delhi's air quality improves slightly due to moderate winds, but still 'very poor'

Delhi's air quality improved to 'very poor' category for the first time post-Diwali even though it was 'severe' in some areas. The city, which has been covered in a dense layer of smog since Diwali on November 4, woke up to a layer of haze and shallow fog on Monday.

The slight improvement in Delhi's air quality was due to moderate surface winds even though the contribution of farm fires in the city's PM2.5 pollution reached the season's highest of 48 per cent.
