The national capital recorded 325 fresh Covid-19 cases and zero deaths in the last 24 hours as coronavirus cases continue to surge upwards.
Delhi has recorded 325 fresh Covid-19 cases and zero deaths in the last 24 hours. According to data shared by the city health department, the positivity rate was at 2.39 per cent.
The Covid positivity rate in the national capital has jumped from 0.5 per cent to 2.39 per cent in a week.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is set to meet next week on Wednesday to discuss the emerging Covid situation in capital.
The Covid-19 cases continue to increase in Delhi with 299 Covid cases reported in the national capital on Wednesday. Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain on Monday said the city government is keeping a watchful eye on the Covid situation and there is no reason to worry until a new variant of concern of the virus is detected.
Delhi's COVID-19 tally and the death toll due to the disease stood at 18,67,206 and 26,158 respectively on Thursday, according to the latest health bulletin.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, earlier today, had said there is no need to panic as the hospitalisation rate has not increased.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
