
Delhi Police Special Cell gets 5-day custody of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in Sidhu Moose Wala murder case

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi will be in the custody of the Delhi Police Special Cell for five days in connection with the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case.
The Delhi Police Special Cell took custody of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case on Monday. The Patiala Court has given the special cell custody for five days for the purpose of interrogation.
The gangster was already lodged at Tihar Jail in Delhi in connection with another case. He was taken from Tihar Jail for interrogation earlier on Tuesday.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s associates Kala Jathedi and Kala Rana will also be interrogated by the special cell.
Meanwhile, Lawrence Bishnoi has alleged a threat to his life and asked for protection. His lawyer said he could be subjected to a fake encounter if put in Punjab Police’s custody. The plea is likely to be heard by the Delhi High Court on Wednesday.
Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village of Mansa district on Sunday, May 29. This came a day after the Punjab Police withdrew security of 424 people, including Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder. Brar, who has close ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, said in a Facebook post that he had killed Moose Wala to avenge the death of gangster Vicky Middukhera.
Sources told India Today that an AN-94 Russian assault rifle (Avtomat Nikonova model of 1994) was used to shoot and kill Sidhu Moose Wala. Moreover, the number plates of the vehicles used in the attack have been found to be fake.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
