
Delhi Police conducts 7th edition of ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Twitter

The 7th edition of the Delhi Police ‘Ask Me Anything’ Twitter session was conducted on Friday.
The 7th edition of the Delhi Police ‘Ask Me Anything’ Twitter session was conducted on Friday from 12 pm to 12.45 pm.
The session was conducted by Rajneesh Gupta, Additional CP of the Special Branch. He addressed all the doubts and apprehensions of the people pertaining to the Delhi Police, including clearance certificates, passport verification and character verification reports.
He also briefed the citizens on digital initiatives of citizen-centric services.
The ‘Ask Me Anything’ live sessions provide the citizens with an opportunity to ask their questions in real-time, bringing transparency and establishing a platform for communication outreach.
During the session, Gupta gave information about different types of verification that are done by the Special Branch. He explained the procedure, time limitations and document requirements for police verification.
He also mentioned the fee structure of police verification, renewal and validity of character certificates, etc. He further stated that police verification is only available for residents of Delhi and they have to apply via online mode only.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
