Delhi Police arrests 21-year-old extortionist inspired by Kala Jathedi gang 

Delhi Police arrested a 21-year-old man accused of threatening people to pay him money over phone calls. The police came to know about the extortionist, inspired by the Kala Jathedi gang, after he had threatened a jewellery shop owner.

Delhi Police arrested a 21-year-old man accused of threatening people to pay him money over phone calls, following the style of Kala Jathedi gang. The police came to know about the extortionist after a person named Harshit registered a complaint in Madhu Vihar police station. Harshit, who owns a jewellery store in the main market of Madhu Vihar, informed the police that he had received a threat call from an unknown number and was asked to either pay Rs 20 lakh or face consequences. On the basis of his complainant, a case under sections 387 and 506 IPC was registered in Madhu Vihar police station and an investigation was launched.
