
Delhi: NOC should not be issued to liquor shops without proper verification, says former NDMC Mayor

Former NDMC mayor Preety Aggarwal has sought proper verification of property tax receipts and conversion charges for granting NOC to liquor shops.
BJP leader and former NDMC mayor Preety Aggarwal wrote a letter to Commissioner of North Delhi Municipal Corporation, Sanjay Goel stating that a No Objection Certificate (NOC) should not be issued to liquor shops without proper verification.
In her letter, Preety Aggarwal claimed that people obtain NOC from corporation for starting various business activities under section 15.6 of MPD-2021 which envisages the provision of retail shops and offices.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
