Delhi: Newly built smog tower near Connaught Place now functional; cleans air up to to 88%

The initial results of a newly built smog tower at Baba Kharag Singh Marg near Connaught Place have turned out to be positive. The reading showed the air was 80 to 88 per cent clearer after it passed through the tower. 

Delhi’s newly built smog tower at Baba Kharag Singh Marg near Connaught Place is fully functional and the initial readings are quite positive in terms of pollution reduction.

With the city waiting to transition into the most polluted months of the year, India Today TV did a reality check on the ground. This is the first instance that comparable data of the polluted air, which is flowing inside the tower and the air coming out of it, can be compared qualitatively.
