Delhi Crime Branch arrested wanted criminal involved in multiple murder and attempt to murder cases. Darshan Dabas had jumped parole and had committed two more crimes in the past six months.
Delhi Crime Branch on Tuesday arrested Darshan Dabas, a criminal involved in multiple murder and attempt to murder cases. He had jumped parole in 2020 and had committed a murder and an attempted murder in the past six months.
Dabas was involved in the sensational murder case of BJP leader Amit Shokeen at Najafgarh in 2021. Dabas carried a cash reward of Rs 20,000/- which was announced by the Commissioner of Police, Delhi.
The Crime Branch team, of STARS-1, who have been tasked to keep a vigil over absconding criminals accused in heinous cases of Delhi & NCR made the breakthrough. They received a tip off about the accused's presence at Dwarka Sector-7, Delhi.
On March 13, the team laid a trap in front of Gokul Park, Sector 7, Dwarka. At around 6.40 pm, the suspect accused was overpowered and apprehended by the police. One country made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession.
Dabas alongwith his associate Krishan and his younger brother Rahul had killed Amit Shokeen.
While on March 8, the accused alongwith coaccused Krishan killed Praveen Kumar, a resident of Najafgarh.
He entered the world of crime in 2008, when he alongwith his associates murderer Sonu Dagar, a relative of former India cricketer Virender Sehwag.
