As per the report published by the Hindustan Times (HT), Delhi Police revealed that the racket came to light when a resident of the Sangam Vihar area was robbed by the suspects. The victim said that he was waiting for a bus at the Kashmere Gate ISBT for Khanpur when one of the suspects offered to drop him at his destination for just Rs 50.
According to health officials, the man had been suffering from severe pain for nearly 36 hours before his family brought him to a private hospital. The surgery to remove the bottle lasted for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
