Defamation suit by Sameer Wankhede's father bid to 'cover up' illegalities: Nawab Malik in HC

In his written reply to the defamation suit filed by Dnyandev Wankhede, NCP leader Nawab Malik has told the Bombay HC that the case is an "attempt to cover up illegalities" committed by the complainant's son - NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede.

Lawyers representing Maharashtra cabinet minister Nawab Malik have filed a reply to the defamation suit filed by Sameer Wankhede's father before the Bombay HC. Dnyandev Wankhede has accused the NCP leader of defaming him and his family through a series of tweets and press conferences.

Justice Jamdar had on Monday instructed Malik to file a reply to the defamation suit, observing, "If you are giving a reply on Twitter, then you had better file a reply by tomorrow here (in court)."
