After watching Rahul Bose in the Netflix film Bulbbul, Deepa wrote a note to him praising his performance in the movie. The actor had a double role in the film. Rahul Bose shared a screenshot of the message sent to him by Deepa Mehta. “Last night I saw the movie Bulbbul and was quite blown away. By the film, by the deadly charm of the female lead and more than anything by your incredible performance in the double role. Rahul you were mind-blowing and bloody scary in your depiction of the mentally challenged brother. That was quite a feat - to walk the line between cruelty and not being aware of it, except perhaps on a visceral level. Bravo a million times.
