
Crop stubble burning cases dip in Punjab, Haryana and UP: Centre’s pollution watchdog

According to the Centre's pollution watchdog, crop stubble burning cases have decreased significantly in Punjab, Haryana, and the eight NCR districts of Uttar Pradesh.
The number of paddy residue burning events in Punjab, Haryana and the eight National Capital Region (NCR) districts of Uttar Pradesh has come down significantly this year, a pollution watchdog of the Centre has said.
A total of 1,795 crop stubble burning cases were reported in a month, down from 4,854 in the same period last year, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) said on Friday.
