CPI takes out protest demanding discussions on Adani and Manipur violence

Communist Party of India cadre demand investigation into Adani bribery allegations and Manipur violence, staging demonstration in Erode.
Urging the Central government to discuss Adani bribery allegations and violence in Manipur, Communist Party of India cadre staged a demonstration at Surampatti Four Roads on Tuesday.
Led by Erode South District Secretary S.T. Prabakaran, cadre said the US Federal Court had indicted top executives of the Adani Group of Companies in a bribery scheme and blamed the Central government for protecting the business tycoon. They wanted a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to investigate the bribery allegation against the industrialist to bring out the truth.
Cadre said buildings and properties were burnt in violence in Manipur and the life of people were affected for over one-and-half-years. They blamed the Central government for not taking the violence seriously and demanded that it be taken up in the Parliament.
