Uttar Pradesh achieved 100 per cent first dose Covid-19 vaccination coverage on Monday by administering 26.14 crore doses in the state to date.
As per the state government, UP has administered 15.69 crore first doses while 10.31 crore beneficiaries have also received the second dose. In addition, the state has also administered13.8 lakh precautionary doses.

Meanwhile, the state reported 1,497 new Covid cases, 5,491 recoveries, and 151 deaths in the last 24 hours. The active caseload stands at 37,044.
According to the health bulletin, India reported 2,09,918 new cases in the last 24 hours while the active caseload stands at 18,31,268. A total of 166.03 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination drive.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
