In a major relief, the Covid-19 situation in Karnataka capital Bengaluru seems to have improved week after week with the coronavirus positivity rate at 0.57 per cent. As of Wednesday, there were 7,913 active Covid-19 cases in Bengaluru. However, the case fatality rate of 1.37 per cent continues to worry health department officials.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
