Megastar Chiranjeevi recently tested positive for Covid-19. On Wednesday, January 26, he took to Twitter to inform his fans and followers that he has tested positive and is showing mild symptoms. Hence, on his mother's birthday today, January 29, he couldn't be with her. The actor seems to be missing his mother as he posted an emotional note on Twitter saying that because of being in quarantine, he is not able to take blessings from her.

Covid-19 positive Chiranjeevi shared a picture with his wife, Surekha and mother, Anjana Devi posing with bright smiles. Along with it, he wrote a note in Telugu which roughly translates to, "Mom! Happy Birthday. As I'm in quarantine and can't take your blessing directly, I'm expressing my wishes here. I pray to God that your blessings be upon me not only for this life but also for the next. Greetings, from your Shankar Babu."

Chiranjeevi took to Twitter and wrote, "Dear All, Despite all precautions, I have tested Covid 19 Positive with mild symptoms last night and am quarantining at home. I request all who came in contact with me over the last few days to get tested too. Can’t wait to see you all back soon (sic)!"
