Congress to hold 'Satyagraha' on Sonia Gandhi's next appearance before ED on July 26

The Congress party has decided to hold a peaceful Satyagraha on July 26 when party President Sonia Gandhi will appear before the ED again.
The Congress party will hold a Satyagraha when the party President Sonia Gandhi will appear again before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday (July 26).
Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal issued a letter requesting all the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) to hold a peaceful Satyagraha at any Gandhi statue or at any place of historical importance in their respective capital city.
The Satyagraha will begin at 10.00 am and will end when Congress President Sonia Gandhi will be relieved by the ED.
The letter to Congress PCC also stated that the Satyagraha is a protest against BJP’s misuse of institutional agencies.
Earlier, the Congress workers protests over the ED probe against Rahul Gandhi last month. Over 300 protestors were detained by the police in Puducherry, while water cannons were used in Delhi, Punjab and Kerala to disperse the mob. Demonstrations by Congress workers turned violent in Hyderabad.
