Congress leader DK Shivakumar demanded Araga Jnanendra’s resignation over the PSI recruitment scam.
Karanataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar demanded the resignation of state Home Minister Araga Jnanendra over the police sub-inspectors (PSI) recruitment scam.
Speaking to India Today, Shivakumar said, “The home minister had claimed that no one is involved in the scam in the assembly, but the entire government machinery is involved. We demand the resignation of the home minister."
"Tomorrow (July 5) Siddaramaiah and I will hold a press conference regarding this,” Shivakumar said.

Responding to Shivakumar’s remark, Araga Jnanendra said, "I won't talk much about Shivakumar's statement. When such misconduct happened during their (Congress) time, they didn't make any arrests or take action. But we've done that. We've arrested an ADGP rank officer.”
“I have not received a report from the CID on the investigations," Araga Jnanendra told India Today.
SENIOR IPS OFFICER HELD IN PSI SCAM

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
