Sources have said that Congress is likely to reshuffle its ministers in the Jharkhand cabinet
The Jharkhand cabinet might be headed towards a reshuffle. Sources have told India Today TV that the Congress is likely to reassign its share of cabinet posts in the coalition government in the state.
The state is currently ruled by JMM-led coalition. The Congress ministers hold four out of 11 cabinet posts.
Congress MLA Rameshwar Oraon is minister of Finance, Planning, Commercial Tax, and Food, Public distribution and Consumer affairs. Banna Gupta heads Health & Family Welfare, Medical Education, and Disaster Management.
Badal Patralekh is minister for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Co-operative. Alamgir Alam is in charge of Parliamentary Affairs, and Rural Development.
According to sources, the party may reshuffle minister as per their performance.
“Congress can reshuffle its ministers in Jharkhand cabinet depending on their performance,” said a senior Congress leader from Jharkhand.
The leader added that party will soon do a complete rejig of the state organisational structure on the basis of leaders’ performance.
