Days after resigning from the Congress, senior leader PC Chacko said the party "is facing its Waterloo" referring to the historic defeat of French emperor Napolean Bonaparte that led to his downfall in early 19th century. Chacko said he would seek advice from Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, who had formed his own party after quitting the Congress more than 20 years ago. Chacko said there was no democracy left within the Congress. Speculation is rife that Chacko will join the NCP. The former Congress leader pitched Sharad Pawar as the leader who could provide alternative in the Opposition camp. "I am not here to predict anything. There can be a situation like this where Pawar could be an alternative," said Chacko emphasising that he had worked with Sharad Pawar for several years and now he wanted to take his advice.More Related News
