Congress forms political panel, task force for 2024 polls, includes G-23 members

The Congress has formed three groups ahead of the 2024 general elections. The political panel also includes members of the G-23 group.
Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi has announced the formation of an eight-member political affairs group and a task force ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Members of the G-23 group, who sought organisation reforms in the party, have also been included.
The party has also constituted a central planning group for its Bharat Jodo Yatra.
The political affairs group members would include Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Ambika Soni, Digvijaya Singh, KC Venugopal, Jitendra Singh and G-23 leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Anand Sharma.

The task force also has eight members, which include P Chidambaram, Mukul Wasnik, Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal, Ajay Maken, Priyanka Gandhi, Randeep Surjewala and Sunil Kanugolu.
Each member of the task force will be assigned a specific task related to organisation, communication, media, outreach, finance and election management.
They will have designated teams which will be notified subsequently. The task force will also follow up on the Udaipur Nav Sankalp declaration and reports of the six groups.
