Ahead of the 2022 Vidhan Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress is attempting to digitise its organisation at the grassroots level with the appointment of 8,134 nyaya panchayat presidents and 58,000 gram sabha presidents. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, who is in Lucknow on a two-day tour, appointed the new nyaya panchayat and gram sabha presidents for the first time on Saturday.
