Composer Anirudh launches music label, to release film songs, indie tracks soon

Music composer Anirudh Ravichander has announced the launch of his new audio label, Albuquerque Records. Through the company, he will publish his own works and support emerging artists.
Composer Anirudh Ravichander has officially launched his own audio label, Albuquerque Records, marking a new chapter in his career. The label is named after his recording studio, which itself inspired by Breaking Bad, which is set in the town of Albuquerque, USA. This move is intended to provide a platform for both his original soundtracks and the works of emerging artists.
Under Albuquerque Records, Anirudh aims to publish music from his film projects as well as independent releases, broadening the scope of creative output in the regional pop music scene. The label seeks to bridge the gap between mainstream film compositions and independent ventures, offering a dedicated space for a variety of musical styles and voices.
In a statement, Anirudh called this audio label an "important step" in his career, both creatively and strategically. He mentioned that Albuquerque Records is his entry into building a music business around creativity, ownership, and cultural impact.
"Before films, I was deeply invested in independent music, and this label gives me a home for both my film and non-film work while also supporting new, talented artists who deserve to be seen and heard. We want to build a strong catalogue, introduce original voices, and fuel a brand that pushes the regional POP culture forward."
The label will be led by B Kaushik, who has over 15 years of experience in the music industry, including as Head of non-film music (POP) at Sony Music India – South. Anirudh expressed his confidence in Kaushik as they have known each other since (Why This) Kolaveri days.
Albuquerque Records is preparing to release original soundtracks from Anirudh's upcoming film projects and his independent works. This includes music for anticipated films such as Rajinikanth's 173rd film, Shah Rukh Khan's King, Vijay's Jana Nayagan, Vetri Maaran's Arasan, Nani's The Paradise, and Arun Matheswaran's DC.
