Discover the upgraded Amrit Bharat Express 3.0, offering modern interiors and enhanced features for affordable long-distance travel.
In a major boost to Indian Railways, the next-generation of Amrit Bharat Express is set to be launched soon for public in the country, informed Ministry of Railways in a X post on Monday (April 6, 2026). The latest upgrade, Amrit Bharat 3.0, comes up with smart additional features in comparison to its predecessor, in a bid to enhance travel experience of millions of passengers. The new version is configured to serve the interests of long-distance travels.
Amrit Bharat Express’s earlier versions earned its recognition for jerk-free seats and berths, inclusion of CCTV cameras in all coaches, improved design of toilets, smart design of ladder for ease of climbing to berth, and emergency talkback system between passenger and train manager. In a step forward, the next-generation of Amrit Bharat express is likely to provide more spacious berths, enhanced legroom, alongside major sharp tweaks in berth design.

Posting a video on X, Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnaw wrote, “To enhance the safety and convenience of passengers, the railway has prepared models of coaches with new designs and better toilet facilities. An existing coach has been upgraded to create a sample coach”.
The 30-second video shows a quick tour of the train’ coaches and washroom. It highlights the neatly designed features, such as bright-coloured flooring, enhanced space for passengers, and arm stands. The collection of such features is set to give the passengers an improved travel experience.
