Colleges may admit students only after the results of class 12 have been published, TN Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudi has said. Action would be taken based on complaints against any college found to admit students prior to the announcement of class 12 results, he said. Colleges must admit students only on the basis of class 12 marks and cannot conduct entrance tests to admit students, he said. Any college found to violate the government’s decision in this regard would face action, he added.
