CM inaugurates completed projects worth ₹7.32 crore in Salem

M M.K. Stalin inaugurates completed projects worth ₹7.32 crore and lays foundation for new works worth ₹5.51 crore in Salem.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, through videoconferencing, inaugurated completed project works worth ₹7.32 crore and laid the foundation for new development works worth ₹5.51 crore in Salem district on Monday.
Tourism Minister R. Rajendran presided over the function held at the Government Women’s Arts College at Gorimedu. After the Chief Minister inaugurated the completed projects, the Minister inspected the newly constructed lab building at ₹1.52 crore at the college and interacted with the students.
Minister Rajendran told reporters that the building has all facilities, including a laboratory, borewell, toilets, and other infrastructure.
The projects inaugurated by the Chief Minister included an office building for the Agriculture Marketing and Agri Business Department, a godown with a capacity of 1,000 metric tonnes and an auction store with a capacity of 500 metric tonnes, all at a total cost of ₹7.32 crore. Additionally, Vizhuthugal-one stop centre at Salem, Sankari, and Mettur revenue divisions and 16 taluk-level sub centres, and the Kondalampatti silk yarn cluster at Neikarapatti were inaugurated.
Works for which the foundation was laid include a three-story classroom building (12,879 sq. ft.) valued at ₹ 4.41 crore at Government Arts College in Kumarasamipatti and a controller of examinations office building (3,620 sq. ft.) valued at ₹1 crore at Government Engineering College.
District Collector R. Brindha Devi, Mayor A. Ramachandran, District Revenue Officer R. Ravikumar, Deputy Mayor M. Saradha Devi, and officials from concerned departments participated.
