
Clubhouse app case: Delhi Police files FIR against unknown persons for targeting Muslim women

The Delhi Commission For Women had issued a notice to the cyber crime cell of Delhi Police on Tuesday, seeking an FIR against persons making obscene comments against Muslim women on an app called ‘Clubhouse’.
Delhi Police's Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit has filed an FIR against unknown persons in connection to a case where a group of people were seen making lewd comments during a session on the 'Clubhouse' app. The session that was titled, “Muslim girls are more beautiful than Hindu girls”, saw individuals making obscene statements against Muslim women.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
