Chris Pratt and Sidharth Malhotra discuss Indian food in a chat for Amazon Prime Video. The former promises to visit India and try 'bheja fry.'

Hollywood star Chris Pratt essayed the role of US Navy SEAL James Reece in The Terminal List. The film premiered on Amazon Prime Video in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages. For promotions, Chris spoke to Shershaah star Sidharth Malhotra, who played the role of Kargil war-hero Captain Vikram Batra. Given that both the actors played the role of officers from the armed-forces onscreen, the duo exchanged notes on the efforts that go behind perfecting such characters. They also discussed Indian food. During that time, Sidharth informed Chris about the Indian dish 'bheja fry', which got him interested.

How did this happen? Sidharth asked Chris if he liked Indian food. To this, Chris shared that he really enjoys Indian food but, due to its rich taste, it comes in the way of exercising restraint. Sidharth also got Chris to decode a few Indian foods, such as Chicken 65 and Bheja Fry. During that, Chris got really intrigued by 'bheja fry' and promised Sidharth to visit India and try that. "I would try that. It sounds nice. I like anything that is deep-fried. Anyone can cook a prime rib but if someone can make a goat's brain taste good, you have got extra special skills," he quipped.

Apart from this, the two also discussed the cast and crew's responsibility to make characters from the armed forces look authentic. Sharing how they ensured authenticity with The Terminal List, Chris shared, “The original author, Jack Carr, is an ex-Navy SEAL, and has fabricated this interesting story about a soldier who has been in similar combats. So, we cast all former navy SEALS to play my men in the combat inside that series of tunnels in Syria, shown in the first episode. We didn’t have to teach them anything, except some of the tricks and trades of the acting, like how to hit a mark, and where is the camera placed. But their physicality and body movement are entirely authentic."

The Terminal List stars Chris Pratt, Constance Wu, and Taylor Kitsch.
