
Chennai Police Commissioner felicitates mounted police team for success at national equestrian meet

Chennai Police Commissioner honors mounted police team for winning seven medals, including two golds, at the national equestrian meet.
Greater Chennai Police Commissioner A. Arun on Thursday personally congratulated the personnel who won medals and trophies at the 44th All India Police Equestrian Championship and Mounted Police Duty Meet held recently in Madhya Pradesh.
The team representing the Tamil Nadu Police won a total of seven medals, two gold and five bronze, along with two rolling trophies. Among these, the Chennai City Police Mounted Unit secured one gold medal, five bronze medals, and one rolling trophy.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Ramanathapuram district) Kunal Utham Shirode won a gold medal. Head constable Suganya of the Chennai City Police Mounted Unit won one gold medal and two bronze medals, for a total of three. Head constable Manikandan, horse handler Manivannan, and assistant Karthik each secured one bronze medal.
Mr. Shirode also received a special rolling trophy, while Ms. Suganya was awarded the rolling trophy for best lady rider.
