India Today
The CBSE Class 10 Social Science exam 2026 was easy to moderate, covering History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. Balanced questions tested concepts, application, and time management, keeping students well-prepared with NCERT materials confident.
The CBSE Class 10 Social Science board exam held today covered History, Geography, Political Science (Civics), and Economics.
The Social Science exam 2026 was of moderate difficulty, according to Mr Praneet Mungali, educationist and trustee at Sanskriti Group of Schools.
He stated the paper included short and long answers that NCERT-prepared students could attempt confidently. A few MCQs were tricky and required additional reading before answering, but case-based questions were straightforward. Overall, it was a fair mix of easy and moderate questions.
Mungali also pointed out minor issues in the paper. The map question contained an error, and the options in one MCQ were incorrect.
A picture-based question featured an image not present in the textbook, though it depicted the newly constructed Parliament building, which students could identify.
Despite these glitches, students reportedly felt comfortable and happy with the exam, especially those who had studied NCERT material thoroughly.
